Christmas Eve & Christmas 2016

We hosted Christmas Eve this year at our apartment and we had so much fun (well, I cannot speak for others who attended, but John, Mikayla & I had fun)

Mikayla shared with her Baby Cousin, Barrett. She isn't the biggest on sharing with others, so the fact that she walked up to him with her toys was huge.

Waiting on her Aunt & Uncle to arrive so that we could eat!

The Chapel was full so we hung out in the foyer. Mikayla in her cute Christmas Dress!

After church we went to my mom's and spent the afternoon/evening with my mom and stepdad. In front of the Christmas Tree.

This was one of the very best gifts that Mikayla got. It is a book where the little pup's have suction cups on the back of them so she can stick them on the different scenes in the book. The best.

This was the tree before John and I shut off the lights and went to bed. The Wooden Train table was Kayla's "big/open" gift. She Has played with it for hours every day and it has been so fantastic. John and I grabbed our blankets and pillows, shut the lights off and turned the tree on and slept by the tree and woke up early and than work kayla up.

It was a wonderful Christmas and one that we will always remember. Now, onto celebrating Mikayla turning FOUR on Monday!!

October/November 2016

The pictures are jumbled and out of order, but we have had a busy October and beginning of November! Mikayla started Dance Class (which she absolutely LOVES and is doing great in!)

We have been obsessed with this craft over here lately. Mikayla loves it and it's a fun little craft, which takes a lot of time!

The cutest little ballerina that there ever was! We just found out what their recital in May will be and she will be SO adorable!

We have gone on a few Temple dates the last few months and it has been so wonderful! The peace that is felt inside the Temple is like no other.

We went sled looking for the winter! We haven't ever taken Mikayla sledding before, but we are excited to go this Winter!

We took Mikayla to see Troll's and she LOVED It! She was on the edge of her seat or up dancing the entire movie. It was an adorable little kiddo movie!

We had to take my mom up to an appointment at UNMC and while we were leaving there was a Medivac helicopter. Mikayla loves anything that flies in the air, so naturally we had to stop an look!

Yummy treat while waiting for Grandma

Mikayla wanted to make cupcakes after we saw these fun leafs at Hobby Lobby. So cupcakes were made!

The day that we went and voted! This election was so important!

Lots of cuddling and book reading too!

One night for Family Home Evening we watched Frosty The Snowman, had hot coco and cuddled up on the couch together!

Kayla had to go to the ENT for some hearing issues. She did so great, so so great in the testing. The audiologist had her play a "game", every time she would hear a bird chirping out of a certain ear she had to give me a high five. We are going up to Boystown Monday for further testing.

Pumpkin Patch 2016

My mom, John, Mikayla and I decided to head to the pumpkin patch today! We were so lucky that it was a gorgeous day since this was the only Saturday that we had to do this on! The pumpkin patch has been a super fun thing that we have done ever since Mikayla was born, so I wanted to keep the tradition up!There is a new pumpkin patch that has been around for just a few years and so we decided to try it out! It was SO nice to not have to pay $17.99 per person to get in plus pay for everything inside of the patch. A fun bonus was everyone got a free pumpkin with admission! It wasn't a huge patch like we are used to going to, but it was a nice change of pace! It was perfect for a little girl.

They had a few goats, baby goats, a Llama and a donkey for the kids to feed! Mikayla loved it and once she saw that the Donkey didn't bite mom's hand off, she was able to extend her hand and feed the animals herself!

Going on the tractor ride! All of us had a lot of fun on this!

Dad and Mikayla were looking for the perfect pumpkin! We were able to find 3 perfect pumpkin's for carving and I got a few little ones for decorations!

My cousin just started a business where she makes shirts, bags, pillows, etc. Since I didn't feel like pulling out our cricut and trying to get the vinyl to stay on the shirts- I ordered them from Jj. We were NOT disappointed!! She did a fabulous job. It was so fun being "The Boo Crew" at the pumpkin patch today all together!! We weren't able to get a very good picture, we were all leaning back in this one and Mikayla would not look up for her picture at this point.

Such a big girl! Just under three months from her fourth birthday, she is a wee bit over 3ft!

It was such a great day together! We ended the day with making caramel apples at Grandma Bakers house!
